Technique Teacher/ADAPT Exams/Choreographer
Jacqueline Spicer has been working at Broadway Dance Academy since 2012. Originally from Ottawa, she completed the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet and Character exams and graduated from Canterbury Arts High School in both the vocal and dance programs.
She has choreographed a number of musicals including an original musical that was performed at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. She studied musical theatre at both Sheridan College and St Lawrence College. While studying in Brockville Jacqueline starred as Anne in the musical Anne of Green Gables. She starred in the local operatic society’s renditions of Into the Woods and Gypsy. You may also recognize her from her vocal performances as a Buttercup.
Jacqueline is certified as an ADAPT teacher in both Jazz and Tap and has recently began training in the Progressive Ballet Technique program to further develop her teaching skills. She believes it is important for her students to build solid technical skills while also having fun and maintaining the joy that comes from expressing themselves through dance.
